Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act (O.C.G.A. 51-18-70), you will receive a response detailing the estimated cost of your request within three (3) business days of the initial request. This does not necessarily mean the document(s) will be ready within three business days.
Pursuant to O.C.G.A 50-18-70 through 50-18-76, copies of records shall be charged $.10 per page. In addition, a reasonable charge may be collected for search, retrieval, and other direct administrative cost for complying with a request made under this Code section.
The documents may be redacted to avoid disclosure of privileged or confidential information protected by the Open Records Act. Examples of information that must be redacted include, but are not limited to: Social Security Numbers, mother’s maiden name, medical insurance information, appraisal information, and records from an ongoing criminal/regulatory investigation or prosecution.
