About WIC

VOLUNTARY INFANT FORMULA RECALL
On December 30, 2023, Reckitt (Mead Johnson Nutrition) voluntarily recalled select batches of Nutramigen Powder infant formula in 12.6 and 19.8 oz. cans due to a possibility of contamination with Cronobacter sakazakii. Additional information can be found here.

 

WIC is a supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children. District 4 provides WIC services FREE for eligible:

  • Infants and children 1-5 years old
  • Pregnant women
  • Postpartum women (up to 6 months)
  • Breastfeeding mothers (up to 1 year)

About The Program

WIC benefits individuals and families in need by increasing access to healthy foods, providing breastfeeding support, promoting low-risk births, and offering cost-savings to health care.

At WIC appointments, participants will get personalized nutritional advice from our friendly and welcoming staff of health experts. We will check height, weight and screen for anemia to track growth and development. Your appointment may also include breastfeeding support and advice.
