Melinda Knight is the Environmental Health Director for District 4. She received her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Georgia in 1998. She began her career as an entry-level Environmental Health Specialist in Meriwether County in 1998. In 2005, Melinda became the Environmental Health Manager in Pike County and later took on management duties in Upson County as well. In 2011, she came to work at the District Office as the Emergency Preparedness Specialist. In 2012, Melinda became the Environmental Health Manager in Troup County until starting her position at the District Office as the Environmental Health Director. She has received her certificate as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist and currently serves as President of the Georgia Environmental Health Association as well as on Treasurer for the Board of Directors for the Georgia On-Site Wastewater Association. Melinda is actively involved on both the District 4 and State Environmental Health Strike Teams.
