Amy Nixon, Human Resources Director, began serving at District 4 Public Health in 2005. She has worked in the Human Resources field for more than 20 years, including nine years of HR management experience. Her education, training and leadership in HR public health has helped shape the HR team, especially in recruitment and selection, onboarding, employee relations, conflict resolution and mediation, policy analysis, compensation analysis, benefits coordination, performance management, reporting requirements, EEOC/ADA/FMLA/FLSA, and more.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa, where she majored in political science and government with a concentration in criminal justice. She also completed the Mercer University Leadership Program and the University of Georgia Public Health Leadership Challenge.
